I never shop Albertsons, but with these deals, I will be this week! Can you tell me, on the 10/$10, do I have to buy 10 items, or is it like Safeway and I can get 1 for $1?

CC,
I agree I'm not much of an Albertsons shopper either, but this week I figure they can pay me to shop! To answer your Q no you do not have to buy 10 to get them for $1 they are like Sfwy you can get 1 for $1
Good luck this week, Hope That Helped!

I'm new to couponing and need a little help. I don't quite undertand your comment about using a small filler because Albertson's will not double if there is an overage. Can you explain that more in detail or give an example/scenario? I would greatly appreciate it!

Christine,
Sorry for the confusion I would love to explain for you!

So overage means that Albertsons will ''owe'' you money, and they don't like to pay you to shop, so you need a low cost item to ''fill'' in
EXAMPLE

Buy 1 Box of Wheat Thins for $1.47
and 1 pack of gum for $.99

Use these coupons:
-$1 Internet Printable (IP)
-$1 Albertsons Double
=$.46 OOP (out of pocket)
Does that make sense to you? If you did not buy the gum Albertsons would have to pay you $.53 and in that case would not accept your $1 Double. That has been my experience anyway. Good luck I hope that helped!

I actually talked with corporate this last week (following a BAD experience with my doublers that week...) and was told (after reading them the fine print on the coupon) that the cashiers are to adjust the doubler down to make the item free, rather than reject the doubler alltogether.

Just wanted to pass that on.

Thank you for letting me know! I know this is what they are ''supposed'' to do but some cashiers will give you a hard time on it. My time at the store needs to be quick bc I tote my 2 little ones with me:-0 But thanks for letting me know you talked with corporate now I can go in with some ''back-up''!
Thanks again,
Heather

Yesterday a cashier told me that she gets wwritten up if she takes too many coupons. I told her that since I had taken a $20,000 a year paycut due to downsizing and my husband's pay being cut that I am having to watch every penny I spend. I alsao told her that all of my coupons were legit so if she needed to call over a manager to verify then it would be fine. She never said another word. I am not sure if she was trying to embarrass me in front of other customers so I wouldn't use the coupons. Didn't work!
I understand from friends who work retail that there has been a LOT of coupon fraud but we are not all like that.

Thank you for your work here! I also wanted to say that yesterday I cashed in my Vocalpoint Frosted Mini wheat Coupons. If you do the B1G1 coupon then 3 of the $1 off coupons with the doubles it is actually a money maker because the FREE one comes off at the pre sale price! I was shocked! Ended up getting 4 boxes of cereal, 2 bags of Ritz chips, 2 boxes of cream cheese with a -.22 cent total! I also got a free bread survey coupon too! WOW! I'm digging Albie's big time!

sw,
Good for you for standing up for your coupons! Yes, it is sad there are a lot of fradulent coupons/users out there. I think some cashiers just don't want to take the time to process them all, but rules are rules and they need to follow them. And the rules state you can use 1 coupon per item, even if you have 50 items!

Tiffany,
Great job using the Vocalpoint! I love when I get those coupons in the mail:-) I used my Mini Wheats a while back at Albies to get free movie tickets:-) WTG on the money maker I LOVE when that happens!!

Thanks for your help. We've done 3 Albertson's run now. The first 2 went off great. But the last one (last night) there was no more ice cream and the cashier wouldn't allow for any overage on the other items I decided to get (my back-up plan for no ice cream). :( Anyone know where there is an albertson's with a large stock of ice cream still available? I want to use it for my husband's graduation party!
